Why I’m Starting This Blog
I’ve decided to start this blog because I want a quieter place to share my drawings and thoughts. For the past three years, I’ve shared my art mainly on Instagram. While I love connecting with all the amazing artists and nature enthusiasts there, the constant stream of content and the pressure I feel to keep up really drains my energy.
Whenever I started to draw, I noticed myself thinking more about how I could turn the drawing into a social media post rather than focusing on the process. Thoughts like, “I really should film the process,” or “I need to draw at least twice a week to have something new to post,” were my constant companions. In the end, the pressure to post - even if self-inflicted - often resulted in me not drawing at all for weeks on end.
This blog is an attempt to step into a slower rhythm and let the work unfold at its own pace.
Here, I want to share my sketches and finished pieces along with my thoughts and struggles. I also want this space to be useful. I’ll share helpful resources, experiments, and drawing tips. If something works, I’ll write about it, and if it doesn’t, I want to share that too—without worrying that it isn’t polished enough for an algorithm.
This blog is for anyone who enjoys drawing nature, whether you’re just starting or have been at it for years. I hope you find something here that resonates. And if you follow my journey, I am genuinely grateful 💚.
